Drumming It Out Of you

Billy Cobham says : "Music is from a higher source" I like that. I was trying to frind a way of viewing a feature length movie that he was the center piece of, in which he is exploring the use of sounds to help disadvantaged individuals to feel better. Billy, by the way is regarded by many as the best drummer alive on the planet today and I'm going to see him for the second time this year down at my club in a few days.. can't wait!

It may well be that our means are fairly limited and our possibilities restricted when it comes to applying pressure on our government. But is this a reason to do nothing? Despair is nor an answer. Neither is resignation. Resignation only leads to indifference, which is not merely a sin but a punishment. That only a few, under any circumstances, protest against the injustice of long-established laws and customs, does not disprove the fact of the oppressions, while the satisfaction of the many, if real only proves their apathy and deeper degradation.

Been on my back

I've been having painful back problems recently but I'm starting to get on top of it now.

I have been reading like crazy about getting healthy for the last 3 years. I had a baby a year and 5 months ago and wanted to wait till he was done nursing to start my journey back to health.

Over the last 5 years I have had several problems. Mostly my back, or sciatica. My back has gone out 3 times in the last 3 years. The last time it went out was a couple months after having my last baby. And I was in real bad shape. I ate pain killers like candy, and could not sleep for days because of the constant pain. My stomache was raw from the pain killers, and death sounded like a good escape from the pain. Finally, only steroids helped the inflamation go down. Since that last "back attack" I was left with a numb right leg, and three tingly toes, not much feeling there at all. And that was November of 2005.

Other problems include severe joint pain in my shoulder joints and hip joints, and of course over weight due to my complusive eating habbits.

Over the last two years I can say that for the most part I have been eating healthier than most people I know. I have been buying 70% organic

But I would binge, and blame it on NURSING...

So this is the year to turn all this around.
